There
hasn't been a day since I last saw you that I haven't thought
about you and the profound experience in the Amazon. It has been
one of the most important, cherished and life-changing adventures
so far and I am dreaming and longing for more.
Natascha,
my perceptive and lovely daughter, said that when she saw me that
she'd never seen me so alive. It was a bit of a shock, which made
me think and realize, of course, I had just come back from the
most immensely beautiful and truly alive - in all senses of the
word - places on this planet, with extraordinary open hearted
people. She also said, "You must go back. It looks like you
have found your place!"
So
here I am in grey, cold London longing to be back in the Amazon.
How are you both, and how was your month in Iquitos? I missed
you a lot and still do, and miss Maximo, too.
I've
just realized how inadequate I feel to express my heartfelt gratitude
for you both. I will never forget how you appeared in the room
offering to come with you for the last week on the boat - a grand
gesture and life changing for me. I loved every minute of it.
Thank you.
What
you've done, and hopefully continue to do with your trips is most
important and admirable and I very much would like to play a part
in it and help you in any way I can. There are 3-4 people in London
who are interested in your voyage so far. I have talked about
my experience and shown my photographs to most of my friends and
will continue to do so. What I need is a future date of the next
trip and cost (approximation) for one, two, and three weeks. Also
some more brochures. Enclosed are some photographs. I am so pleased
to have a spirit one. Will be in touch by phone. In the meantime,
